MEET LARRY LEGER

Larry Leger is a seasoned business strategist, real estate developer, and entrepreneur with over five decades of hands-on experience helping companies grow from the inside out. He has worked with startups, family-owned businesses, and enterprise-level organizations, guiding leaders through complex transitions, scaling challenges, restructures, and market shifts across the automotive, real estate, banking, logistics, manufacturing, and media sectors.

Over his career, Larry has produced and directed more than 100 major conventions and trade shows for the automotive industry and related companies. His contributions earned him a President’s Award of Excellence in recognition of his impact within the industry.

Larry is widely known as “Dr. SWOT,” a reputation earned through decades of hands-on consulting and his development of the SWOT Leadership System, a practical framework designed to help leaders identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats in real time and take decisive action. His consulting approach mirrors that of a great physician: listen first, diagnose clearly, and prescribe targeted solutions. Larry works directly with owners and leadership teams to eliminate operational waste, strengthen accountability, improve cash flow, restructure leadership pipelines, and shift companies from reactive survival mode into long-term strategic execution.

Larry has served as a consultant to QRP (Quality Replacement Parts), a Wisconsin-based auto group with 40 locations, where he designed marketing programs and led large-scale membership drives. He was also retained to work with Kuwait Metals following the Middle East crisis, assisting in the reclamation and dismantling of vehicles and heavy equipment left behind after the conflict.

One of Larry’s most significant consulting engagements involved a confidential client with extensive real estate holdings. He designed and implemented a sales and marketing framework while mentoring senior leadership, helping scale annual sales from $13 million to $1.1 billion.

Larry has contributed to leadership development at the publishing level as well. At the request of the publisher, he authored the chapter “What Did I See You Say” in the book Irresistible Leadership, alongside leading executive coaches and strategists.

Earlier in his career, Larry worked with Wayne Huizenga on the formation of LKQ Corporation, handling original acquisition strategy and site selection for what began as a two-location operation and later grew into a global enterprise with more than 1,700 locations across 31 countries.

Larry later served as Executive Business Coach for PAACO, a Dallas-based Hispanic “Buy Here, Pay Here” automotive company, helping grow the organization from 151 to 433 employees and scale revenue from $11 million to $125 million through leadership development and operational restructuring.

His work has extended internationally. Larry was retained by the New China government to advise on transportation infrastructure and vehicle import programs. He also led restructuring efforts for a Greek investment group’s textile mill in Germany and provided advisory support to finance and manufacturing initiatives in Ireland in partnership with Cork University and leaders in the Irish auto industry.

Larry has served on the Board of Directors of the Bank of Sunset and has been deeply involved in real estate development across Louisiana, overseeing more than $150 million in residential and commercial properties. His projects include redeveloping a one-million-square-foot former manufacturing facility in St. Martin Parish, developing a 44-acre I-10 power center in Scott, Louisiana, and acquiring large-scale commercial tracts in Lafayette Parish.

He has also played a key role in major commercial negotiations, including securing a $65 million facility in Lafayette for Halliburton, supporting an operation with an annual payroll exceeding $8 million.

Larry’s philanthropic work includes donating a premier lot for St. Jude’s Dream Home, helping raise over $1.1 million for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in one of the organization’s most successful projects.

He is the force behind the rebranding of the American Small Business Network and the founder of DirectNET.TV, a consortium of private, dedicated business networks.

Larry doesn’t believe in hype. He believes in principles, structure, and accountability. His work is focused on helping leaders think clearly, operate with discipline, and build businesses that outlast the founder.
